Thank you to all who supported or took part in the Murder Mystery Wedding<\/span><\/strong> last weekend. It raised approximately \u20ac3600 for parish funds after expenses were deducted.<\/p>\n

Women’s World Day of Prayer<\/span><\/strong>: A meeting for the Cork area, city and county,\u00a0with the National President, Jean Kenny, will be held in Ardfallen on\u00a0Monday 7th November\u00a02-4pm. All who are interested are welcome.<\/p>\n

Ardfallen Antiques Fair & Car Boot Sale<\/span><\/strong> with cakes, jams, books, crafts, plants, and more will take place in the Ardfallen Centre, Douglas on Saturday, 12th November 2016 from 10am \u2013 4pm. This is a Fundraiser for Cork Methodist Church & Children\u2019s Cancer Care at CUH.<\/p>\n

Remembrance\u00a0Sunday<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0will fall on the\u00a013th November\u00a0this year. On\u00a0Saturday, 12th November, the Cork branch of the Royal British Legion will hold its annual Poppy Appeal collection. \u00a0I am responsible for the collection in the shopping centres in Douglas. If any of you could spare an hour (or two!) to hold a “Poppy box” to help with the collection it would be greatly appreciated. \u00a0Tony Meany<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 0862216120…..\u00a0or\u00a0tonymeany@hotmail.com<\/a>. \u00a0Collection boxes will be available in St Luke\u2019s Church on\u00a0Sunday 6th and 13th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n

Coffee Morning<\/span><\/strong> will be held in St Mary’s Church hall, Marmullane on\u00a0Saturday 26th November\u00a0from 10-12. \u20ac3 entry which includes tea\/coffee and homemade scone.
\nRaffle, general sales table including the contents from a house clearance. Money raised will be used for hall restoration fund.<\/p>\n

St. Luke\u2019s Church Choir<\/span><\/strong> meet every Friday evening from this week until the 16th<\/sup> December at 7.30pm in the Choir Room. We will practice Christmas and Sunday music.\u00a0 New members actively encouraged!!<\/p>\n
