What\u2019s on in the Parish this week?<\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n Tuesday<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Badminton<\/strong> – Marmullane @ 8pm.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Thursday<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Holy Communion<\/strong> \u2013 St. Luke\u2019s Church, Douglas @ 11am<\/p>\n 1st Cork Company, The Boys\u2019 Brigade.<\/strong> – CPH @ 6pm – 7pm Anchors. 7.15pm \u2013 8.30pm Junior and Company sections.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Parish BBQ<\/span><\/strong> will be held in the CPH on Sunday, 28th May following the 11.15am service in Douglas. Tickets available from the Church Wardens, Vestry Members and Aoife Bhreatnach.<\/p>\n A Week of prayer for Christian Unity Service<\/span><\/strong> which will be held in Cork Methodist Church, Ardfallen,\u00a0on\u00a0Sunday 28th May at 7.30pm.\u00a0 The speaker will be Dr Anne Francis. The theme of the service is ‘Crossing Barriers’ which has been prepared by Christians in Germany.<\/p>\n Thanks<\/span><\/strong> to all who supported the Coffee Morning and Sale<\/span><\/strong> in the parish hall in Marmullane on Saturday. All the proceeds were in aid of the hall renovation fund.<\/p>\n A restoration of St. Luke\u2019s Church Clock<\/span><\/strong> is being organised at present which will cost \u20ac3200 plus VAT.\u00a0 We have already received several generous donations but there still is a shortfall of \u20ac1200 remaining.\u00a0 It has been decided to launch a fundraising initiative where people could sponsor a minute in time on the clock face with a figure of \u20ac20 per minute. \u00a0We would need 60 people to participate. If you would like to contribute please contact the Rectory for more information.<\/p>\n \n Community Notices<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Friends of St. Colman\u2019s Cathedral Cloyne<\/span><\/strong> will host an illustrated talk by Jim Murphy on the \u2018The epic voyage of the P.S. Sirius Cork to New York 1838\u2019 in the Cathedral on Friday, 26th<\/sup> May, 2017 at 8pm. \u00a0This ship was captained by Richard Roberts from Passage West and is commemorated in Marmullane churchyard. All welcome.\u00a0 Entry charge \u20ac5.<\/p>\n Carrigaline Summer Fete<\/span><\/strong> will take place in St. Mary\u2019s National School, Waterpark, Carrigaline on Saturday, 27th May at 10am-2pm.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What\u2019s on in the Parish this week?
