On Wednesday, 12th<\/sup> December there will be a special Christmas Lunch<\/strong> in the Old Schoolhouse at 1pm. As usual this will be a home cooked Christmas meal followed by a raffle and plenty of Christmas cheer. As this is a popular lunch please ensure you secure your place by phoning or texting Sharon Kerr on 086 8327653.<\/p>\n

Bible Study<\/strong> will be held on Wednesday, 12th<\/sup> December at 2.30pm in the home of Joan Miller, Ballintemple and Thursday, 13th<\/sup> December at 7.30pm in the home of Carol Boylan, Moneygourney.\u00a0 On Wednesday, 19th<\/sup> December there will be a Fellowship night for both groups at 7.30pm in the home of Carol Boylan.<\/p>\n

Royal British Legion\/Earl Haig Poppy Fund<\/strong>. \u00a0Having organised the poppy collection in Douglas and Frankfield for many years I would like to thank the parishioners for their generosity.\u00a0 It was much appreciated.\u00a0 The collections were Douglas \u20ac359.50, Frankfield \u20ac490.26 and Blackrock \u20ac129.15.\u00a0 Many thanks to John Wolfe and Keith Dawson for their help.\u00a0 Cecil Locke<\/em><\/p>\n

A Diocesan Memorial Service for the late Canon Patrick Hewitt<\/strong>\u00a0will be held in the Church of St Mary, Dunmanway (Fanlobbus Union) where Patrick served for the greater part of his time in Cork, Cloyne and Ross.\u00a0\u00a0Date and Time:\u00a0 Saturday, 8th December at 12 noon. All welcome.<\/p>\n

A Ceremony of Carols<\/strong> and other seasonal music performed by St. Fin Barre\u2019s Cathedral Choir will take place on Saturday, 15th<\/sup> December at 7pm in St. Fin Barre\u2019s Cathedral.\u00a0 Admission \u20ac10.\u00a0 Tickets available in the Cathedral Shop or at the door.<\/p>\n
