The Christmas Lights will be turned on in Douglas Community Park<\/strong> on Sunday 30th November. Timetable as follows; Kite Making 1-2pm, Santa will arrive by fire engine at\u00a02pm, Alvin & the Chipmunks at\u00a03pm, Cork Youth Orchestra at\u00a03.30pm, Nicky Hayes Dancers at\u00a04pm, Cobh Animations Team in Christmas Outfits at\u00a04.15pm and turning on the Christmas Lights at\u00a05pm.<\/h3>\n

Dr. Michael Murphy, President of University College Cork with the permission of the Rector and Select Vestry invites you to Choral Evensong<\/strong> to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of George Boole in St. Michael\u2019s Church, Blackrock on the 8th December at 6pm. Parishioners are asked to contact the Rector if they want to be allocated one of the seats reserved for parishioners. Seating is limited at this service.<\/h3>\n

All donations will be received by Betty French or they can be left for her to collect in the back church porch in St. Luke\u2019s Church. Your support for this parish fundraiser is appreciated.<\/h3>\n

Annual Earl Hague Poppy Fund<\/strong>. Having organised the Poppy Fund in Douglas and Frankfield for many years I would like to thank the parishioners for their generosity. It was much appreciated.
