On display in the Crawford Art Gallery until the end of March is the Watson Archive, featuring cartoons (i.e. preparatory charcoal drawings) of stained glass windows executed by the Watson Studio (Youghal) between c.1880 and c.1960.  Prominently displayed among the many exhibits are cartoons of the memorial windows in St Michael’s.  The east window in Marmullane is also by Watson.  Recommended!

On 2nd February Gordon Snow began his Tus scheme placement with us.  Gordon will be working across the parish on maintenance and repairs.  Gordon’s professional background in construction, particularly roofing, means the parish will again benefit from completing work we would not otherwise be able to.  We wish him well for his time with us.

Indigent Roomkeepers collection for 2014 amounted to €1,370. Nancy Stanley would like to thank all the parishioners in Douglas and Frankfield for their generous donations.
