Meeting of volunteers who assist with the Holy Week Resource Stands on Monday, 23rd  March in St. Columba’s Parish Room at 7.30pm.  On Sunday, 29th March, the Ecumenical Palm Procession will commence in Douglas Community Centre at 3pm. All welcome.  Help is needed in the shopping centres in Holy Week, 30th March – 2nd April. Please sign up for an hour on the sheet at back of the church.

 

 

A free public lecture will be given by Dr. Finoa O’Kane at Douglas Library (in Douglas Shopping Centre) on Thurs March 26th at 7pm.   The talk is entitled ” The influence of the Irish Big House and its Demesne on perceptions of landscape and beauty in the 18th and 19th centuries”.  Dr. O’Kane is an architect, landscape historian and author and has published on the topic.
