To-day to mark the end of the Sunday School Year we will have a family picnic in the grounds of Fota House. All parishioners are welcome. We will meet in the grounds above the house from 12.45pm. A big thank you for those who supported the  Frankfield’s Sunday School coffee morning/ raffle after service last Sunday which was in aid of “Cancer services in Cork” and Aid for the people of the Nepal Earthquake.  An amount of €850 was raised.  Well done to everyone involved who helped organise the event. St. Nicholas Brass Band will hold their annual concert with The Voices of Cork in St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral on Thursday, 28th May at 8pm.  Tickets from any Band or Choir member or on the door.  €10, €7 with concessions, children free.  Come and enjoy a feast of popular and light classical music in the glorious surroundings of the Cathedral.

 

The annual Blessing of the Boats will be held in Passage West on Sunday 31st May.  This is an important community event and it is good that the Rector and other local clergy are involved in a prayer service as part of the celebrations.

 

Ardfallen  Summer Market at the Ardfallen Methodist Church Grounds, South Douglas Road, Douglas, Cork  will take place on the 6th June, 2015 from 2-5 pm, Fundraiser for Crumlin Children’s Hospital and Eifel Dispensary Christian Outreach in Sri Lanka.  Market will include:  a Cakes/Jams stall, plants, books, gifts, Afternoon Tea;  Bouncy Castle, games and face painting for the kids.
