Dear parishioners and friends,

Tomorrow we begin in our commemoration of the dramatic events of Holy Week. Our service of Holy Communion for Palm Sunday involves a dramatised reading of the Passion Gospel according to Mark. I would like to thank all those who recorded themselves in their own homes and were involved in this reading. The service will be put up on our Parish YouTube Channel this evening and the link to it is here:

You are reminded that there will be four live services on Zoom this week. They are Morning Prayer at 11.00am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There will also be a traditional language evening service of Compline at 8pm on Good Friday. The same link will work for all four services and it is here:

We will look at three of the strong emotions stirred up both then and now by tough experiences. In our contemplations, may we all be drawn closer to Jesus and find renewed hope and courage in our present circumstances, whatever they may be.’

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will also be marked with recorded services which will be available on YouTube. I will remind you about these again later in the week.
Please find a copy of the liturgy and gospel for Palm Sunday attached. The final part of Biblical Byways is also attached. As I hope you will all avail of some of the options for worship this week, I have not included a written reflection each day but I do provide the collect for each day and a reading.
You are also reminded that our churches are open between noon and 1pm today for you to collect your Palm Crosses and to use for private prayer if you so wish. I look forward to journeying through Holy Week with you.

Every blessing,

Adrian
