Culture Night Organ Recital by Mark Slade Brief Talk on organ at 6:50pm . Organ music from 7pm – 9pm (10 minute interlude) . Information on history of the organ and how pipe-organs work, will be available on leaflet and picture form on the night too….feel free to wander in at any time during the 2 hours, and to look around the church. Also PowerPoint presentation on the making of the new baptismal banner.

 

Saturday

Come and Sing Choral Evensong in St Fin Barre’s Cathedral. Rehearsal at 2pm. Service at 5pm. Music and tea/coffee provided. All abilities are welcome! See posters in churches for further information.

Following the summer break, Blackrock Lunches (on the last Wednesday of each month) resume on September 28th at 12.30pm in the Old Schoolhouse on Church Road. All are welcome to a nutritious three course meal for a donation of €7.

 

‘Harbour Sounds’. This is the title of a special concert to be held in St. Mary’s Church, Marmullane (Passage West) on Saturday 1st October at 7.30 pm.. Tickets are €15 and further information is available from the parish office. All proceeds will go towards the organ replacement project in this church. We look forward to having a packed church on this evening for an enjoyable and varied programme of music.
