This Sunday Douglas Sunday School are giving their collection from the past year to the ‘Time for Tilara Fund’ to raise money for medical treatment for a child in junior infants in St John the Baptist National School. Tilara’s teacher is Holly Sweetnam and she will be vising the Sunday School group today to collect the money and talk to the children.

St Fin Barre’s Cathedral is hosting a ‘Come and Sing Psalms’ event on Saturday 20th May. Director of Music Peter Stobart will lead all types of singer through music of different genres, but which uses psalm texts (not just chant, but anthems and hymns too). A Week of prayer for Christian Unity Service which will be held in Cork Methodist Church, Ardfallen, on Sunday 28th May at 7.30pm.  The speaker will be Dr.  Anne Francis. The theme of the service is ‘Crossing Barriers’ which has been prepared by Christians in Germany.

 

 

Carrigaline Summer Fete will take place in St. Mary’s National School, Waterpark, Carrigaline on Saturday, 27th May at 10am-2pm.
