Marmullane Church Choir met recently and agreed that we would have a short practice at 6pm in the church on the second Friday of the month. Their first practice will be on Fri 12th May. Any interested singers welcome, and no need for an audition – just join in! Contact Roger Ellis 087 053 9416

 

A Coffee Morning will be held in St Mary’s Church Hall Marmullane on Saturday 20th May from 10 -12. €3 entry which includes tea/coffee and homemade scone. Raffle, Plants and general sales table. In aid of Hall Restoration fund.

 

 

St Fin Barre’s Cathedral is hosting a ‘Come and Sing Psalms’ event on Saturday 20th May. Director of Music Peter Stobart will lead all types of singer through music of different genres, but which uses psalm texts (not just chant, but anthems and hymns too). A Week of prayer for Christian Unity Service which will be held in Cork Methodist Church, Ardfallen, on Sunday 28th May at 7.30pm.  The speaker will be Dr.  Anne Francis. The theme of the service is ‘Crossing Barriers’ which has been prepared by Christians in Germany.

 

 

The Parish BBQ will be held in the CPH on Sunday, 28th May following the 11.15am service in Douglas. Tickets available from the Church Wardens, Vestry Members and Aoife Bhreatnach.
