Dear parishioners and friends,

Earlier this morning the 5th in our series of reflections on the Book of Genesis was put up on the Parish YouTube Channel. This time it focuses on the character of Jacob who features in the second half of the book. I would like to thank the Revd Hazel Minion for contributing this piece and reminding us about how the story of his life can be an inspiration for us today.

Also looking forward to this Sunday, which is Remembrance Sunday, I would like to draw your attention to  the fact that it is an occasion to remember all our loved ones who have departed this life, and not just those who have died as a result of conflict. As part of the service this week, I will be lighting a candle and having a time of reflection and prayer as we remember the departed. You may like to have a candle ready in your home too and at that part of the service light it as you join me in prayer and thanksgiving.

I hope you are having a good week despite the restrictions. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Revd Hazel Minion at any time if you have particular needs or concerns.

Every blessing,

Adrian
